Luke Anderson · Owner and licensed electrician

Most solar is sold by people who have never been on the roof.

Luke is a licensed electrician (NSW 313400C) and a Clean Energy Council accredited solar designer and installer (S4097096). Coffs Coast Electrical does the electrical work a local contractor does, and over the last few years has built the solar and battery side into a full part of the business: from 7 kW home systems with whole-home backup to the 99.5 kW rebuild at Grafton Library.

The brands are chosen on purpose. Sigenergy, Sungrow and GoodWe inverters and batteries, Trina and Jinko panels, selected on performance, reliability, manufacturer support and warranty. They're the products the team is confident will perform and comfortable standing behind for the life of the system.

On commercial sites the process starts with a two-week load study, and every install includes inspections at one and two years. On homes it starts with your bill and when you're home. Either way the person quoting it is the person installing it.

Based in Bonville, just south of Coffs Harbour. Residential work within 100 km, commercial work up to 500 km, from Port Macquarie to Lismore and inland to Armidale.

How we work

Four things we hold to.

  • 01

    We quote what we'd install

If a smaller system is the right answer we say so, even when the bigger one is the better sale. The load study decides, not the roof.

  • 02

Our crew, not a travelling team

The person who quotes the job is on the roof installing it. Nothing is subcontracted to whoever is cheapest that month.

  • 03

    The assumptions are written down

Every payback figure comes with the numbers behind it, so you can check our work or have your accountant do it.

  • 04

    We come back

Commercial installs include inspections at one and two years with thermal imaging. The workmanship warranty is ours, for 10 years.
