Rebates & finance / NSW
The discount is already in the price.
Solar and batteries in NSW attract a federal rebate, a federal battery discount, a state interest-free loan for eligible homes, and finance if you'd rather pay over time. We claim what we can on your behalf, deduct it from the quote, and show you the figure.
What applies
Five things we handle for you.
- 01
STCs (the federal solar rebate)
Small-scale Technology Certificates are created for every eligible solar system. We claim them and take the value off your price up front, so you never see the paperwork or wait to be paid back. The scheme steps down each year.
Claimed by us - 02
Cheaper Home Batteries program
The federal discount on eligible home battery systems. It's applied through the installer, so it's built into the quote for any battery we install on a home.
Built into the quote - 03
NSW interest-free loan
Eligible NSW homeowners and landlords can access up to $15,000 at 0% interest for solar and battery systems. Eligibility depends on your circumstances; we'll tell you if you qualify.
Up to $15,000 at 0% - 04
Brighte finance
For homes and businesses that would rather pay over time, subject to approval. We show the outright and financed cost side by side.
Subject to approval - 05
Grid connection
We lodge the network connection application with the distributor and handle any conditions that come back. You don't deal with it.

What it looks like
A typical home, after rebates.
Most family homes we do land around 7 kW of solar with a 16 kWh battery. The STCs and the federal battery discount come off the price up front, and the NSW interest-free loan can cover most of what's left for eligible homes.
You get a fixed price after the site visit, with every rebate already deducted and shown on the quote. Program rules change, so we confirm eligibility each time.
Rebate questions
What people ask.
Is the rebate a cheque I receive later?
No. The STC value is deducted from your price before you pay. The same goes for the home battery discount. You see the reduced figure on the quote.
Can a business claim STCs?
Yes, for systems up to 100 kW. Both of our recent commercial installs, at 99.5 kW and 95 kW, sat under that line by design. Larger systems fall under a different scheme, and we'll explain it if your site needs more than 100 kW.
Do rebates change?
Yes. The STC scheme reduces each year and state programs change with budgets. We quote on the rules in force on the day, and we say which ones we've applied.
Can I combine the NSW loan with the federal discounts?
In many cases, yes. Eligibility depends on your circumstances and the current program rules. We check it as part of the quote.
